Every time I’m at Poipu Sands 412 I am in awe. It just has a way of being elegant yet comfortable. The owners have really taken their time to select some amazing art by local Hawaiian artists. I love sitting out at their lanai table and just watching the world go by. There is such a feast of color with the beautiful green lawn and the different bursts of color from the flowers. Not too far away is a BBQ area that any chef would be happy to grill in. Chairs and tables for convenience or socializing while creating the evening’s delights.
In the winter months, Poipu Sands has a core group of friendly snowbirds who come from afar to escape the cold and many of them get involved in volunteering at the various charities on island. It’s so nice to see people immerse themselves in our lifestyle and leave a little bit of themselves behind to be missed until next year when they return again.
Our dog, Chew E Lewis has a following at Poipu Sands. We used to walk him daily just before dinner and he’d visit the different condos for a variety of treats. There was a friendly competition of who had the best leftovers to give to the always enthusiastic Chew E. Our walks became a progressive dinner for Chew E and his waistline was showing it so we take longer walks in the mornings now, but occasionally go through Poipu Sands so he can visit his old friends.

I have stayed in this complex before and this is a great unit. It is well equipped, close to the Hyatt and Shipwreak Beach. Great whale and turtle watching just steps away. Rental office was extremely helpful and responsive to all requests. Would definetly rent again.

Great condo! Clean, and spacious. Both baths have plenty of counter space and showers only. Master shower is huge. Enjoyed the oceanview from the master bedroom and lanai. I found the second bedroom more comfortable as it was cooler in there and the queen bed is more comfortable to me than the king was. My husband liked both just fine. There is also a twin bed and buit-in desk in the 2nd bedroom. Plenty of towels. This condo had some extras…books, including guide books, beachchairs, pool noodles, snorkel gear, extra fans to name a few. The Bose system along with a cd collection was very nice. Overall very comfortable, clean and well taken care of. The pool was great. We enjoyed it all to ourselves one evening. It was fun floating while stargazing. Walked down to the water which is close and watched the sea turtles as the sun rose. Another couple had seen dolphins there one morning. Would come back to this condo in a heartbeat and highly recommend. GVR is also very easy to work with

We opened the lock box and started a wonderful stay in 412. The layout and appointments were lovely, and the kitchen was well provisioned with the necessaries for home cooking, which we much enjoyed doing with our family. Our grand children particularly liked being able to head directly outside on the great expanse of lawn, where they frolicked with a great view of the ocean. The Poipu location was great for hikes and beaching nearby- services within a short drive. (We stopped at Costco to give us an initial supply, and then locally supplemented) Missed having a hot tub and fitness facility. No one told us that there was a car that went with the unit! That would have been a very welcome saving!!!
